POUKAWA SCHOOL DANCE
(From Our Own Correspondent). POLKAWA, June 21. The dance held under the auspices of the Poukawa School Committee in the Taheka granary proved outstanding, and the committee who worked hard tc ensure success deserve praise for their efforts. Each season the granary is becoming more popular with dancers, this being manifest on Tuesday evening last, when many patrons from places distant from Poukawa, were present. Competition dances, were held, the spot waltz being won by Miss Sullivan and Mr L. Lancaster, and the Monte Carlo by Miss Dyett and Mr A. Skeetei. Music was supplied by Lew Munro’s orchestra, and saxophone extras were played hv Mr A. Saunders. Mr Tawhi Kara made an efficient M.C.
