'The Marlborough Raciug Club’s course, which was passed in last week at an auction sale held on behalf of the mortgagees, privately this morning to a Blenheim firm, Register and Lune, for £3(XK). It is stated that the new owners intend to farm the property , The racing club is one of the oldest in New Zealand. ’i*h« first Marlborough Cup was run in 1875, but racing was in existence here long before that. Blenheim, indeed, claims w bo the cradle of the sport in tho Dominion.
