FILM OF “TUSSAUD’S
A new British film company is to make a picture of the original Madame Tussaud and the creation of London’s famous waxwork show. Louis Tufsaud, a descendant of Marie Tussaud herself, is to assist the producers, Madame Tussaud was originally Marie Grosholtz, a refugee from the French Revolution who fled to London, where she founded the waxworks. Her skill in modelling in wax was derived from her uncle, a famous Swiss surgeon of the day. It is possible a Continental star will play the leading part in the film.
