Rolli-Royce Turn-Over
For the second year in succession the accounts of the Rolls-Royce, Ltd., show •i new high record and an increased distribution to shareholders. Profits for 1934 amounted to £29.1,611, or practical! v £75,000 more than the previous re cord established in 1933, while 20 per cent, for the year has been paid in dividends. Presiding at the annual meeting ol (be company, Lord Wargrave said that ilio accounts themselves reflected the
increase in business. The turnover of Rolls Royen chassis for 1934 a satisfactory increase over 1933, and m addition there was the very substantial turnover from Bentley chassis. Taking the latter into account, tho chassis turnover wns more than 45 per cent, in excess of that for the previous year.. In spite of serious increased restrictions in many countries abroad, there had been an increase in the export sales of the company’s ears, added to which the sales of Bentley cars wore most encouraging. He went on to sav that the famous aero engines were stib outstanding as the best and most reliable liquid-cooled engines in the world. This was evident from the fact that, although they were supplied to the Hoval Air Force in record numbers in' 1933, the aero engine turnover for 1934 exceeded that figure.
