Builders and Painters Busy From Our Own Correspondent. WAIPUKURAU, June 19. Ex-servicemen of M aipukurau and district are reminded that the annual general meeting of the W aipukurau District Returned Soldiers’ Association will be held at the Kosy tearoom on Friday at 8 p.m. The business to be transacted includes the presentation of the annual report and balance-sheet, the election of officers for the ensuing vear, and general. The slogan of the association is, “Please bring a new member with you.” PAINTERS AND BUILDERS ACTIVE During the past few weeks there has been a mild boom as far as the builders and painters of Waipukurau are concerned. A number of residents and business-people have had their residences and premises altered and painted. which has brought a welcome period of activitv to the two trades concerned. PERSONAL ITEMS. Mi K \V Dan son is an inmate of tiie M aipukurau Public Hospital Mi and Airs Bower Grosvenor, who have been visiting relatives in the Bay of Plenty, have returned to Porangahau.
