For Waikato Stud The stallion Foxbridge, recently secured in England by Mr. L, 8. Otway for his Trelawney Stud, Cambridge, arrived in the Dominion by the Rangitata, now at Wellington, and he will to-day continue north to Auckland, where he will be unloaded. A member of the No. 14 Bruce nowe family, Foxbridge is a good-looking horse standing 16 hands. He is a five-year-old (English time) bay horse by the Ascot Cup winner Foxlaw (by Son-in-law) from Bridgemount (dam also of the One Thousand Guineas winner Cresta Run), by Bridge of Eran from Mountain Mint, bv Spearmint from Adula, a sister to Pretty Polly and a half-sister to Veneration 11, dam of the disqualified Derby winner Craganirur. As a three-year-old, he won the Atlantic Cup, £2500, H miles, at Liverpool, and he finished third to Loamingdale and Firdaussi in the Eclipse Stakes, 1} miles. Having regard to the great staying blood in Foxbridge through his sire, as well as Bridge of Eran and Spearmint, and taking into account his own racing merit, his importer. Mr. L. S. Otway, may be congratulated upon having brought to New Zealand a horse likelv to maintain the Lest t'r n difion of the British turf.
