The Alexander Korda production, “The Scarlet Pimpernel,” which continues to play to capacity houses at the Leicester Square Theatre, London, is fast becoming a society function ns well as a venue for members of the Royal Family- The Duke and Duchess of Kent, the Duke and Duchess of York and other members of the Royal Family, including Prince Arthur of Connaught, Princess Alice and I Helen Victoria, have attended Th “Scarlet Pimpernel.” The weekly takings afuount to nearly £o0()l, which are record figures, ecipsing the previous records set up with “ 1 he I r;vatte Life of Henry VIII.”
