— • Meeting of Hastings Branch The monthly meeting of the Hastings branch of the Plunket Society was held on Tuesday, there being present Miss Williams (chair), K. C. Bates, H. A. Fannin, A. R. Greenwood, C, A. Hendry, E. M. Nelson, C.
Stubbs, E. L. Sutro, W. A. Whitlock, A. D. S. Whyte, Miss S. K. Wellwood and Mrs R. Sunderland' (hon. secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Mrs M. Bell, F. J Hull. W. F. Wellwood, C. R. Wright, J. B. Pickering and Miss Keith ; The nurse®’ report for February submitted to the meeting reads as follows: New cases, town 16, country 3; visitors to office 895; visits to homes, town 261, country 138; advice over telephone 66; letters received 1; letters written 2. Country districts visited: Mangateretere and I ’wyford four times, Haunioana, To Awanga, Clive, AVhakatu. Pafcipaki and Pakowhai twice, Havelock North seven times. Fernbill, Otamanri and Crownthorpe once, Sherenden twice. The usual business was dealt with and accounts passed for payment. The secretary i(‘ported that six entriic bad been forwarded to Wellington to the “baby photographic exhibition" at present being held in the !>.!.( . Arrangements were made lor the usual work to be carried on at the Autumn Show. Mrs Nelson and Mrs Whyte were appointed visiting committee lor the next ' month.
