FIRE PREVENTION WEEK
Annual National Effort Notification that a “fire prevention week’’ similar to that arranged last year will take place between March 18 and 23 has been received by the Hastings Borough Council from (he Department of Internal Affairs. The proposals are that local bodies shall carry out an inspection of business premises in co-operation with local fire brigades, and that facilities shad be provided for the collection of rubbish. The department has arranged for special lessons on fire prevention to be given in schools.
