Fencing Tangoio Reserve FURTHER EFFORTS The fact that still a further effort, the fourth, is to be made by the Napier Thirty Thousand Club to interest the Napier Borough Council in the matter ol the preservation of the native bush at Tangoio by fencing the reserve was disclosed at the meeting of the Hastings Chamber oi Commerce last evening. the club wrote asking to be supplied with a list ol tile contributions collected by the chamber, as it was considered that such a list would be ol assistance in the representations to be made to the council. The secretary. Mr F. Perrin, stated that he bad referred the matter to Mr F. E. Smith, chairman ot the comi mittee concerned in the matter. , Mr C. Duff. Key•nolds. oi Havelock North stated that she was greatly interested in the preservation oi beautiful native bush and was pleased to note that the chamber had taken up this matter ot Tangoio. as on a recent visit to that locality she had been astonished to see how greatly the goats had increased in that district and leared that the pretty piece of bush would soon be destroyed unless some action was taken. i Tho letters were received.
