Mrs. E. R. Hadfield

The death has oecured of Mrs Elizabeth Rhodes Hadfield, second daughter of the late Rev. H. E. and Mrs Turkey. She was a woman of wide culture and never-failing kindliness. She was a devoted friend of the blind and was tho founder of the Braille Club in Wellington after working among the blind in Sydney. She was also a zealous church worker and willingly gave time and money towards every good cause that camo along.
In 1895 she married the late Mr Henry S. Hadfield, eldest son of th? lato Bishop Hadfield, of Wellington, who then held office as Maori interpreter to the Legislative Council. She is survived by two sons, two daughters and a sister and one brother.
