MACHINES FOR THE AIR RACE (No. 7).—-Two Vultee low-wing monoplanes have been entered for the Air Race. Messrs. H. W. G. Penny and Downes (Australia) will pilot the Penny entry, and Lieut.-Colonel G. R. Hutchinson (of the Flying Hutchinson Family) will be chief pilot of the New York, London, and Moscow Air Lines entry. The Vultee is very similar to the Northrop Delta, but has a retractable undercarriage. Both machines are competing in the speed race.
