Late on Saturday a heavy limousine ear driven by Miss E. Hamilton, oi St, Albans, jumped a side channel in Bcalcy Avenue, smashed a six-foot paling fence and then crashed into the side of a house, portion of which wan shifted off its foundations. A number of articles in the room struck, including a dock, were broken. Tho bumper of the car was embedded in broken weatherboards. One of the occupants of the bouse. Mrs E. Blewett, received a severe fright from the noise and impact. The driver of the car was unhurt. The accident was caused by the ear colliding with another at a corner and swerving off the road.
