CLIVE GRANGE SCHOOL

Annual Fancy-Dress Ball HIGHLY ENJOYABLE EVENING. The Clive Grange annual plain and fancy-dress ball was an outstanding success. It was held in the Hauinoana Hall last evening and a large crowd of children and parents spent a very pleasant time. During the first half of the evening the children had charge of the floor. The dancing, concert programme, and their general behaviour reflected great credit on the teachers, who must have put in a great deal of work in coaching the children. The fancy costumes were very creditable and in this department the parents excelled themselves. At 10 p.m. the children par took of an excellent supper. The adults then proceeded with their dancing. The music for 'tho children's programme was played by Mrs. Cockerill. while Mr. Cockerill’s orchestra provided excellent music for the adults. Mr. McKeesiek, on behalf of the committee, in an eloquent speech, thanked all those concerned in making the ball the success it undoubtedly was. The duties of M.C. were in the very capable hands of Mr. McKeesiek. Tho ladies’ committee deserves special praise for the nnliring efforts which it put forward in preparing the S’ppci arrangements.
