CHURCH SERVICES

At St. Matthew’s Church to-morrow there will be celebrations of the Holy Communion at 7 a.m. and 8 a.m.; also at Mahora School at 7.30 a.m. Matins at St. Matthew’s will be at 11 a.m., the preacher being the vicar. Evensong will be held at 7 mm., when an address on the Bible-in-Schools Bill will be given by the Hon. L. M. Isitt, M..L.C. An evening service will be conducted’ by Mr. Tanner at St. Barnabas’, Parkvale, and an afternoon service at Twyford School. Sunday Schools a.nd Bible CL.jses at the usual hours. The services at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Market street, to-mor-row will be conducted by the Rev. George Miller as follows:—11 a.m., service, subject, “Except the Lord Build the House they Labour in Vain that Build It”; anthem, “Sing O Daughter of Zion”; 7 p.m., subject, “What Think Ye of Christ?”; anthem, “Lead Kindly Light.” “Second Hand Religion” will be the topic of the Rev. C. B. Boggis’s address at the Baptist Church to-morrow evening at 7 o’clock. There will be music by the choir and a hearty inspirational service to which all are welcome. At the close the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper will be observed. The subject of Mr. Boggis’s talk at the morning service at 11 o’clock will be “The Silence of God.” To this service also a cordial invitation is extended! to everyone. At 6 p.m. choir and minister will bold the hospital service. The morning service in the Havelock North Presbyterian Church will be conducted by the Hon. L. M, Isitt, M.L.C., who will speak on the Bible-in-schools movement. The Rev. R. B. Waugh will conduct the- afternoon service at Maraetotara and the evening service at Havelock North. The subject of the address to be given in the United Hall on Sunday night at 7 o’clock is, “The Father’s House of Many Mansions; where it is and how it may be Entered'.” Evidence will be advanced from the Bible to show that the earth, and not heaven, will be the place where the righteous will receive their reward. The service to-morrow at the Hau-' moanii Presbyterian Church will be held in the afternoon and will bo conducted by Rev. E. IT. Kcdgley. At the close of the service the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be adluiuis- , tered. The service at the Stor-tford Lodge Undenominational Mission Hall on Sunday evening will be conducted by Mr. Butcher. All those interested are cordially invited to come along and bring a friend'.
