AUCKLAND TEAM TO MEET HAWKES BAY REVIEW OF PLAYERS. The Hawke's Bay Rugby League has just received advice that the Auckland team to play the Hawke's Bay representatives this Saturday at Clive will be: — Full-back : .1, Satherley Three-quarters: E. McNeil E. Mincham E. Fletcher Five-eighths: ‘'Bert Cooke S. Prentice Half-back; JI. Powell Forwards; R. Jenkinson, 11. Lawless, C. Satherle.y, I). Jellord, A. Milicich, A. Broadhead. Reserves: —A. Verrail, M Metcalfe. Advice was also received that the official parly will number 23, including 17 players, one coach, one trainer, the manager and three club officials. Also included m the party will Im Mr "Scotty” Met lymont, w6o is sole selector lor the North Island League team. On completion of this game, Mr McClymont will declare his North Island team to meet the South Island at Carlaw Park next month. Tho Auckland team comprises some of the most experienced League players in New Zealand. J. Satherley, brother of Cliff, is a very tine type of footballer E. McNeil is a young player of great promise; first emergency Auckland representatives against Taranaki; very fast ami a good try getter; plays on the wing. E. Mincham, centre three-quarters, represented Auckland for several seasons. He is a really good League player and scored more points than any other player in Auckland this season. E. Fletcher, winger, is a recent convert to the code, and lias a great reputation as a Rugby Union player. He captained Palmerston North High School ami represented Manawhentia. and was nominated for the North Island representatives in the Union game. ‘“Bert” Cooke.- Everyone knows . him. He was captain of tho Hawke’s Bay Union representatives, also represented the I nion game in the North Island team. He is now a League representative and is locking forward to meeting his old friends while in the Bay. W. Telford, front row, is an Auckland representative and played the game in Australia. He is playing his best football this season. Perhaps tho finest front row man in Auckland. A. Milicich, the hooker, is a fast, loose forward. A Broadhead is a big and strong 13 stone forward. He promises to be one of the best players. Tho visiting team will arrive tomorrow evening
