21st BIRTHDAY
A HAPPY PARTY. A very happy birthday party was given in the band-room by Mr and Mrs U. .Sutton, ot Hastings, to celebrate the 21st birthday of their daughter, Ilona. About aO guests were present. Tea at 7 p-m. was an unusually festive meal, lhe tables were decorated with bright scarlet berries and, ot course, the large white birthday cake, with 21 little lings, was much admired. There were speeches of congratulation, and the usual toasts, and then everyone spent a very entertaining evening with dancing and games or cards. Music was suppDieil by Mr Sorenson lor the dancing, and individual items were a piano duet by the Misses Sutton, and songs by Miss M. James and Miss BBushier. Later in tfie evening supper was served. Mrs Sutton’s frock was of mulberry marucain with a lace coatee, and hei daughier. Ilona, wore a very pretty iroek of white georgette made closely fitting to the knees with trilled godets inset at the hem giving fullness. A scarlet coulee was worn.
