Scotch Shorthorn Sale FAIR PRICES REALISED On Saturday afternoon at the conclusion of the Greenhill dispersal sale, Mr \V. A. McFarlane's, Waiterenui Scotch Shorthorn stud was disposed of at the Stortford Lodge sale yards, before a fair bench of buyers, prices averaging under IGgns. per beast. The auctioneers selling in conjunction were the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., the Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-operative Association and Williams and Kettle, Ltd. The Waiterenui herd was started in 1929 by the purchase of the pick of the Maraekakaho herd, practically all the show team being secured.
