KITTEN IN BOXING RING
University Tournament Incident By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 6. The statement that the story of a kitten being thrown into the boxing ring during the New Zealand University tournament at Christchurch had been greatly exaggerated was made by Mr D. M. Burns, tournament delegate of Victoria University College. “The kitten was not thrown from high in the gallery ns reported,’’ he said, “but from a ringside seat, anil the statement that there was a sickening thud is nothing more than pure imagination.’’
