Politics and Parties

(To the Editor). Sir, —I deem it a privilege to reply tc such a staunch supporter of the Labour Party, as Mr. Stanley Evans has proved himself to be. Mr. Evans states that he has supported Labour for the past twenty years, and 1 feel sure he will continue to do in the future as ho has done in the past. There is a remark, often used by Mr. Coates, about turning the corner, and I am confident that then Mr. Evans and the rest of us citizens of this fair country will see just in front of us a path strewn with roses, and that under the guiding hand of such a leader, as the honourable gentleman. Mr. Savage, the Labour Party will, when returned to power, administer the affairs of this country to the joy and satisfaction of all classes of the community. In conclusion, I would like to say that it is due to such loyal supporters as Mr. Evans that tho Labour Partv is tho Opposition of to day and Hie Government of to-morrow. —I am, etc, JIM O’REILLY. Hastings, April 7, 1934.
