BUILDING IN WELLINGTON
Considerable Improvement By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 5 During the twelve months ended March 31 a considerable improveineni took place in the building trade in Wellington City compared with the previous financial year, for though there was little difference in the permit figures for two years—£34s,o29 for 1932-33 and £371,971 for 1933 34trade has been given a big lift by the commencement of the work of the new railway station which, being a Government building, does not require a permit from the City Council. The contract price for the station was £339,173, so that the value of building work tarried out or commenced last yfttr «»i high above that of 1932-33.
