PETROL EXPLOSION
Death from Shock and Burns (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 6. “Familiarity breeds contempt,” commented the coroner, Mr. Gilbertson, when a medical witness said he was unable to understand how a burning accident, resulting in the death of Robert Adams, who was using petrol and paraffin wax, occurred. A verdict was returned that death was due to shock and burns received in an explosion of petrol which was being used in proximity to fire.
