APRICOT KERNELS
New Australian Industry MELBOURNE, April 5. A new industry has arisen—the export of apricot kernels, many tons of which have been supplied by Australia to London and Europe in the past six mouths. They will be used in the manufacture of cosmetics and .high explosives. Apricot kernels are now known to contain a high percentage of oil adaptable for cosmetics, while the pulp or residue contains chemicals usable in other directions.
