FATAL FIRE IN INDIA

Eleven Burned in Shelter CALCUTTA, April 4. Earthquake survivors in the village of Chandpura, Bihar, were terrorstricken yesterday when fire destroyed their flimsy shelters. Six girls, four boys and one man perished in the flames. Apprehensions that many peasants would be deprived of their livelihood by sand thrown up by the earthquake were relieved by a Government survey of 100 square miles of the countryside, which revealed that the greater part of the cultivated land escaped damage
