The annual general meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union will be held in the Napier Chamber of Commerce rooms to-morrow, at 7.30 p.m.

Si The annual general meeting of the Hastings Women’s Community Club will be held in the rooms on Wednesday, April 18, at 3 p.m. The annual report will then be read and officers elected for the year.

The Havelock North Relief Depot will hold a clothes drive on Saturday, April 7. As clothes will be in urgent need during the corning winter the committee ask residents to give what assistance they can in this cause.

Hastings patrons are advised that the competitions prize-winners demonstration will be held in the Municipal Theatre, Hastings, to-morrow, Friday, April 6, at 8 p.m. A wonderful programme will be presented and prices for admission are 2s to circle and Is to gallery, children half price. Reserves at 2s may be obtained from Fail’s.

The box plan for the demonstration concert by the competition winners, in the Foresters’ Hall, Napier, tonight is open at. Wally Ireland’s, Dalton street, where seats may be reserved for 2s. A wonderful programme will be provided, all the first prize winners taking part, and the performance commences at 7.30 sharp. Patrons will be wise to make their reservations early.

A meeting of the Mayor’s gala committee will be held in the Hastings Borough Council Chambers thin evening at 7.30 o’clock. The object of this meeting is to discuss further arrangements for the holding of some entertainment to assist in the raising of funds for the Mayor’s Copper Trail Appeal. All citizens who are interested in this endeavour are specially requested to attend.
