Following ii the Government Meteorologist’s summary and forecast for the Central, East, and Northeast districts for the 48 hours from 9 o’clock to-day:— Summary: The high pressure system .w’hich has been covering the New Zealand area for the past few days has lost none of its intensity, but this morning it is centred east of the Dominion. A shallow depression is still located over eastern Australia. Forecast: Light, variable winds but, northerlies prevailing. Weather fine andmild. Seas, a moderate swell. HIGH TIDE. (At Glasgow Wharf). To-day—B.26 a.m., 8.56 p.m. To-morrow—9.ll a.m., 9.44 p.m. THE SUN. To-day—Rose 6.35 a.m., sets 6.13 p.m. To-morrow—Rises 6.36 a.m., sets 6.11 p.m. PHASES OF THE MOON.
