NAZI CREED DENOUNCED
Leading Towards Heathenism — CATHOLIC OPPOSITION UPHELD By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright LONDON, April 3. The “Daily Express’’ says:— "Hitler is at war with the Pope. In an Easter message to the Catholic Youth Organisation the Pope brands national Socialism as paganism and applauds the resistance of Catholics to oppressive Nazi propaganda. The message of defiance is published in a Catholic newspaper at Cologne. “The Pope adds: ‘With truly superhuman courage the Catholics have kept their oath of love and fidelity to the Saviour and Mis Church, despite propaganda working with oppressive power for a ew philosophy of life loading towards heathenism. We know the position of Catholic youth in Germany. It causes great sorrow to your bishops. ’ ’ ’ The “Daily Express’’ adds that the Vatican is preparing a White Book in which imprisonments and persecutions of Catholic youth will be recorded.
