« ♦ Vultures Vie with Aeroplanes CALCUTTA, March 18. Aeroplane accidents caused by eagles and vultures are becoming a grave menace. The sixth case in a short period occurred near Calcutta yesterday. A machine flying from Dacca struck a vulture at an altitude of 3,000 feet. The Indian pilot vainly attempted to avoid the bird, which hit a wing. The pilot landed in a rice field badlyshaken.
