The tapir, one of the largest animals found in the dense jungles of South America, is a most ferocious and formidable looking beast. Yet it is in reality a harmless vegetarian, and has never been known to attack a human being. In our own daily life things very often are not what they seem. Many smokers when first seeing Bed Shield (Dark] tobacco, would expect it to have a strong, heavy flavour. The rich dark colour of Rod Shield actually means smoother, code . more enjoyable smoking, and results from the tobacco being “toasted to a turn.” Red Shield (Dark) and Blue Shield (Medium) are New Zealand tobaccos at, their best, blended, “toasted to a turn,” and hygiefiically packed in the Dominion’s largest and most modern factory. Test them in your pipe. You’ll enjoy a far better smoke, and you’ll find them particularly economical. In handy 2 oz. tins—l/7; and money-saving 1 lb. tins.’
