WEDDINGS

HENDERSON—WALL. On Thursday, March 15, a pretty wedding took place at the Nelson Street Hall, Hastings, when Edith May Wall second daughter of Air and Mrs W. j’ Wail, of Townshend street, was married to John Clark Henderson, son of Mr J. and the late Airs Henderson, of Nelson street, Mr Isaacs officiated at the ceremony during winch Airs Moore played the hymns and wedding marches. Friends of the bride had decorated the hall very beautifully with archways of flowers and greenery and bowls of flowers. A lovely weddmg bell of whito asters was suspended over the bridal party. Mr W. Wall gave his daughter away. Her wedding frock was of heavy cream satin made on slender lines, forming a slight train at the back, and with a bow at the hip and also at the back of the neck. Loug, closely fitting sleeves finished tho bodice. A hand-embroidered veil of silk net fell from a Juliet cap of gaged georgette with orange blossoms at either side. White satiu shoes were worn and a shower bouquet of roses, crocus, belladonna lilie s and maidenhair fern was earned. There were two attendants—Misses Hazel (chief) and Alavis Wall, sisters of the bride. Both wore charming frocks of daffodil georgette, ankle length, made with double capelet elbow sleeves; the skirts were gored flaring from the knee with flounces at either side. Black satin shoes, daffodil felt hats, sheaf bouquets of mauve asters, cream roses, yellow autumn crocus ana maidenhair fern were carried. The best man was Air Eric Henderson and Air George Henderson (both brothers of the bridegroom) was groomsman. A reception wag held at the Rialto tea-rooms which were decorated with autumn flowers and a pink and white wedding bell. A three-tiered square cake, beautifully iced, was on tho bridal table. Speeches of congratulation were made. Mrs Wall, mother of tho bride, wore an ensemble of nattier blue trimmed with lace, and a grey and blue hat was worn. Roses composed her Victorian posy. The bride and bridegroom left by car later, the bride wearing a bottle green costume, with a hat and shoes to tone, and she carried a brown fur coat. CUSHING-HANSEN. A quiet wedding took place at St. Augustine’s Church, Napier, on March 8. The contracting parties were Miss Olga Hansen and Mr Ben Cushing, both of Clive. The Rev, Canon A. Hodgf officiated. The bride was handsomely attired in a model gown of blue creptsuede relieved with lemon and grey. A hat and shoes to tone were worn and she carried a bouquet of gaillardia and midget bronze dahlias and maidenhair fern with lemon streamers. The bride was attended by her niece, Miss Elsie Cook (Havelock North), who wore a pretty frock of georgette in pastel shades, with hat and shoes to tone. She carried a bouquet of gaillardias and autumn tinted blooms with maidenhair fern and pastel streamers. Mr E. Moody, of Napier, carried out the duties of best man. Later Mr and Mrs Cushing left by car for the south.
