CYCLING CONTROL
New Zealand Federation (Bv Telegraph-Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, March 16. At the first meeting of the New Zealand Cycling Federation under 'the new constitution, the chairman, Mr. J Kennedy, said that the meeting was called to reorganise the federation, which was for the purpose of dealing with disputes concerning the interests of the two controlling bodies. If. was decided to grant affiliation to the New Zealand Amateur Cycling Association. A letter was received from the controlling body of cycling in the world, the C.U.1., asking for the New Zealand definition of “amateurism.’’ The definition was required, it was stated, for the purpose of drawing up a uniform definition for the use of all affiliated bodies. No decision was reached. Tn the matter of combined meetings., Mr. J. Sturrock moved that the federation approve of combined meetings. The motion was carried by four to two.
