WAIROA RACE PLACINGS
Little Wonder Disqualified PRESIDENT’S HANDICAP RESULT By Telegraph—Press Association ' WELLINGTON, March 15. In the decision of the New Zealand Racing Conference judges in connection with the appeal by Mr W. Wilson, own er of Gainslid, against 'he decision of the Hawke’s Bay District Committee in reversing the plaeings ->f Gainslid, the winner, and Littlo Wonder, the second horse, in the President'a Handicap, run at the Wairoa Racing Club’s meeting on January 27, 1934, it is held that as Mr R. G. Fenton, owner of Little Wonder, had not obtained permission from the executive committee to train his own horse as required by the rules of racing, the horse Little Wonder is therefore disqualified and the plaeings are therefore Gainslid first, Stitch second, Kinsel third. “It is only fair to the Hawke’s Bay District Committee for ns to state that this point was not considered at the time that the committee altered the. plaeings,’’ concludes the judgment.
