H.B. CHILDREN’S HOMES
ANNUAL APPEAL ON MARCH IT Every year the trustees of the Hawke's Bay Children’s Home make an appeal to the residents of the Hawke's Bay provincial district for financial assistance to maintain the homes, and as a result of the fallingoff in all avenues of income the trustees this year are compelled to ask for a larger sura than usual. A collection will bo made in all towns of Hawke’s Bay on Saturday, March 17, and it is hoped that the effort will result in a sum of £lOOO being subscribed. The willingness of the people of this district to assist tins necessary social work has been exemplified during many years by tlio very satisfactory response which has bee,) made, and although it I may seem that in seeking £lOOO this | year a 'cry large sum is asked for, it is tclt that the residents of Hawke’s Bax «iH once again demonstrate their . willingness to subscribe sufficient funds for the needs of the Children’s Home. While <t is not possible for collectors to call on those wishing to subscribe are requested to forward their donations by post. Cheques should be made payable to the Hawke’s Bay Children’s Home, and sent to Mr H. E. Edgley, Church Lane (I’.O. Box 115), Napier.
