Following is the Government Meteorologist’s summary and forecast for the Central, East, and North-east districts for the 24 hours from 9 o'clock to-day:— Summary: The anticyclone covering New Zealand has moved some distance northward, the centre being near Auckland. A slight wave of low pressure ie passing in Hie south, and will probably be followed by other deeper ones during the next few days. Forecast: Winds variable, but north-westerly prevailing and freshening. Weather fine and mild. Seas smooth to moderate. HIGH TIDE. (At Glasgow Wharf).
