In connection with the shipment overseas of the 6000 cases by the Opawa at Napier yesterday the visiting fruitgrowers who observed the operations were the guests of the agents of the vessel and were afforded every facility to inspect the vessel and tn fully understand the operations. Mr. T M. Geillis chairman of the Napier Harbour Board, thanked the company for its hospitality and expressed the hope that in the near future home boats would come alongside to load fruit Mr. R. Paynter also spoke and said that he expected that before long Hawke’s llav would be exporting s()n,nno cases of fruit and would prefer to load alongside at Napier given the proper facilities. He thanked the company for taking care of the consignment and hoped that it would be carried successfully to the overseas markets. Captain Robertson, of the Opawa, responded.
