Egmont Meeting Opens INVICTUS WINS HURDLES (By Telegraph-Press Association.) HAWERA, Feb. 1. The Egmont meeting opened in brilliant sunshine before a good attendance. The track is ideal. Results;— Ohawe Hurdles: 3 Invictus (9.0) 1, 1 Riotous (9.13) 2,2 Chang (9.7) 3. Also started: Constant Sun. Won by two and a-half lengths, three and flhalf lengths between second and third. Juvenile Handicap: 4-4 Ingenuity (7.1) 1, 2-2 All Spirit (7.11) 2, 7-7 Sand Lark (7.4) 3. Ser.: No Doubt, Miss Louvain. Won by three lengths, a neck between second and third. Time. 1.1 2-5. Takaora Handicap — 1-1 Diagano (7.13) 1, 4-4 La Crown (8.6) 2, 6-7 Cereal (8.12) 3. Ser.: Motoa, Binduli. Won by a length, a head between second and third. Time, 1.14 2-5.
