FATAL CRASH
SOVIET BALLOON SIRIUS Gondola Becomes Detached CREW OF THREE KILLED (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Received! I, 10.50 a.m.) MOSCOW, Jan. 31. It is officially stated that the crew of three of the baloon Sirius were killed when the gondola became detached. The bodies were found in the wreckage of the gondola at Potijaky, eight miles south of Kadoshkino. Eye-witnesses declare that the balloon was falling when there were two explosions, followed by a crash. The envelope was torn off and all the instruments destroyed. The three bodies will be buried in the Kremlin near the wall facing Red Square.
