It usually happens that those institutions which give most in the interests of humanity do so without publicity, and often in the face of many hardships. But when the public learns of the wants of such institutions there is always a pleasing response on the part of generous givers. The St. Mary’s Home, Burlington road, Napier, is at present in need of potatoes, onions and other vegetables, and an appeal is made for donations of these, which will be gratefully acknowledged by the ma*ron in charge (Nurse E. A. Carter).
