HASTINGS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH PLAY YESTERDAY. INTERESTING POSITION. The second day’s play of the Hastings Golf Club’s annual tournament was held yesterday. The first and second rounds match play of the amateur championship, Longlands handicap and consolation handicap were completed, and the semi-finals and finals were played to-day. Yesterday afternoon’s results were: — HASTINGS AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP. Second Round H. E. Troutbeck beat A. Rathbone. G. Saunders beat J. B. Fletcher. J. Hape beat W. F. Desha. L. Reid beat H. Ribbands. It is rather significant that the four semi-finalists represent the Napier, Hastings, Dannevirko and Waipukurau clubs respectively. LONGLANDS HANDICAP Second Round J. Barraclough beat D. M.
