Following yesterday’s pakapoo raids, Ah Sam and Ah Wong, who had been previously convicted, were each fined £3O, and Wing Lee. Wong Hing and Len Ching £25. Twenty-four other people found on the premises were each fined £3. with tho exception of one, who was lined £l.—Press Assn. Tho North Island Motor Union reelected Mr. W. A. O’Callaghan (Hawera) president, and Mr. J. H. Edmundson (Napier) and Dr. E. Porritt (Wanganui) vice-presidents, and elected tho following executive:—Messrs. Grayson (Auckland), Palliser (Wellington), Edmundson (Hawke’s Bay), Mackie (Manawatu), Roydhouse (Wairarapa), Carter (South Taranaki), Macfarlane (Wanganui) and Duff (Taranaki). The next meeting will be held in Napier.—Press Assg.
