Nelson, Miss Pinckney, Mrs. Waldron, Oriental Bazaar, Shorenden Women’s Institute, Otamauri Women's Institute, Mr. Rees Davies; quilts, Mrs. Heaton; Peggy squares, Radio Cousins 2ZL; linoleum, Anonymous; boots and shoes, Miss Holland, Mr. James Lyons, Mr. W, L. Nelson; bedsteads and mattresses, Mrs. Appleby, Mrs. Cook, Mrs. R. J. Thompson, Mrs. Kershaw, Anonymous, Mrs. R. A, Brathwaite, Miss Holland; rug, Miss Boaler; eggs, Miss Clark; cash, 18/1, Mr. H. R. Jackson (proceeds sale of stranger lamb). The depot will be open for the distribution of clothing on Friday, 25th instant. Men’s and boys’ clothing may be obtained between 9 and 11 a.m., and women’s and girls’ between 1.30 and 4 p.rn. No application received after the 15th will be dealt with on that day. Last Tuesday 95 families were assisted. The Mayor has received the following donations to the Central Fund:-— R. Ward £l, E. Gordon Williams £2 2/-, J. M. Lowry 10/-, Mr. Toulmin, Havelock North, £l, Mrs. Toulmin £1; H. McKuin, 1 bag of coal per week till end of September; H. Hodder, 2 quarts of milk per day for 6 months; E. Kitt, 1 quart of milk per day for one year; Mr. Griffiths, £lO in foot and shoes; Wellwisher, 5/-. In the list published yesterday the name of E. G. Williams (£5) should have been Alan M. Williams.
