Billy’ has been Chatelaine's constant companion since she was a yearling, and was at first introduced into her stall because the filly was lonely and restless. Chatelaine used to spend her nights ‘weaving,’ or walking round her stall, but once the goat was introduced she slept soundly. Whenever Billy was removed, however, Chatelaine resumed her ‘weaving.’ The goat accompanied Chatelaine to Epsom and greeted her with a baa in the paddock after her i ictory.”
