HAWKE'B BAY COMPETITION! TEAMS ENTERED. At last night's meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union the follow" ing clubs entered teams:— Seniors: Napier H. 5.0.8., Marirt Old Boys, Technical College Old Boy,, Pirates, Hastings, Celtic, Tamatea and Hastings H. 5.0.8. Junior Grade (Napier Section)g H. 5.0.8., Marist Old Boys, Pirate*, Technical Old Boys and Eskview. Third Grade (Napier Section): High School, H. 5.0.8., Pirates, Technical Old Boys, and Marist Old Boys. Fourth Grade (Napier Sectionjg High School, three teams, H.8.0.8ii, Pirates, Marist Old Boys, and Technical Old Boys. Fifth Grade (Napier Section): High School, five teams, and Pirates. The Wairarapa Rugby Union wrote to inform the board of the date* of the annual game with Hawke’s Bay at Napier, the return game to take place on a date to be fixed during July. The junior representative games will be played on the same dates as the seniors with the localities reversed. The Napier Borough Council wrote granting the union the exclusive use of McLean Park for the season on the same terms as in previous year*. Championship fixtures are to commence on Saturday the 22nd. insL in Hastings and Napier. All grade* will be catered for with the possible exception of the fifth grade in Napier. A letter written on behalf of th* combined Dannevirke, Waipawa and Hawke’s Bay Hospital Boards was received requesting that a deputation be received from the above bodies to discuss the question of a scale of fee* chargeable to footballers who are injured while playing the game. Members considered that the deputation would be wasting their time. In response to a query the chairman stated that he was unaware that the Hawke’s Bay Automobile Association had been similarly communicated with regarding motor accidents. It was finally decided to inform the board of the rates of meetings and at the same time enclose a copy of the union’s rules governing the insurance of players.
