TARADALE DEFENCE CLUB. MR SMITH’S TROPHY. Ou the Dolbel range next Saturday the members of the Taradale Defence Rifle Club will fire the second match for Mr H. J. Smith’s trophy. The range will be 360 and 600 yards, 10 shots at each, standards 45 and 47, hollowing are the handicaps:— Sgt. K. Maidens sgr., scr.; Rfm. B. Fourneau scr., scr.; Pres. T. J. Jarvis scr., scr; Rfm. B. Franklin scr., scr.; Rfm. T. F. Maidens 1,1; Rfm. K. Semmens 1,1; Rfm. C. Tronson 2,2; Rfm. L. Tronson 2,2; Rfm. C. Kreig 3,3; Dep.-Pres. P. Bishop 3,4; Rfm. D. Redward 3,4; Rfm. D. McDonald I, 4; Rfm. F. McDonald 4,4; Rfm. J. Patrick 4,4; Rfm. N. Tronson 4,4; Rim. C. Briggs 4,4; Rfm. D. Brunton 3,5; Rfm. T. Howard 5 5; Rfm. J. Parker 5,5; Rfm, P. Williams 5, 6. The remainder will be handicapped on the range. OKAWA DEFENCE CLUB, SECOND ROUND NO. 5 TROPHY. Members of the Okawa Rifle Club fired the second round of No. 5 trophy recently and though shooting conditions were not particularly easy some splendid scores were returned. Rflm. J. Carmichael, at 500 yards, scored the first possible of the season and he and President White headed the honours list for the day. Following are the detailed results: —
