GAMES AT WAIPAWA. RESULTS OF FIRST DAY. (From Our Own Correspondent). The annual tournament of the Waipawa Croquet. (Tub was commenced on Tuesday in fine weather. The nominations are not as large as anticipated, probably owing to the tournament just completed in Napier. Results are as foil ow:— Championship Singles.—First round: Mrs H. M. Rathbone won from Mrs Clark by default: Mrs W. I. Limbrick beat Mrs Glenny, 26—18; Mrs Given beat Mrs S. Dailey, 26 —IS; Mrs Davy beat Mrs Butler, 26 —16. Second round: Mrs Rathbone beat Mrs 11. D. Limbi i<k. 26—7. Championship Doubles.'—First, round: Mesdames Gollan and Clark beat Me* dames H. M. Rathbone and H. D. Limbrick, 26—18; Mesdames AV. I.
