LATTER DAY SAINTS

CONFERENCE AT NUHAKA. The annual conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will be held at Nuhaka. from March 24 to 27. Maori and European delegates representing a New Zealand membership of between 8000 and 9000, of whom 1000 are Europeans, will attend. ri The mission president, Elder Harold T. Christensen, of Auckland headquarters, will be in direct charge of the conference. The Mission Hui Tail Board and the Mahia Marae Committee are handling the preparations for the conference.

The mission secretary, Elder Gerald H. Bennett, will be in charge of all secretarial work, if there is need for overflow meetings. Elder G. J. Gibb will be in charge of them. The music committee will consist of the various choir conductors. Each of them will be assigned a meeting in which to conduct the singing. The programme drawn up for the conference covers a wide field, including the work of the Relief Society, primary work (children from four to 14 years), Sunday School and Mutual Improvement Association. I’he last rained is an organisation for providing constructive leisure time activities. The entertainment portion of the proceedings will be particularly attractive.
