SYDNEY WOOL SALES
MARKET VERY FIRM. (Reeived 16, 10.10 a.m.) Sydney, March 15. At the wool sales to-day, 10,097 bales were offered, 8438 being sold at auction and 1238 bales were sold privately. The market was very firm. Yorkshire, German and Japanese buyers were the principal operators. Greasy merino made up to 14Jd. LONDON AUCTIONS. (Received 16, 11.50 a.m.) London, March 15. At the wool sales 8772 bales were offered, including 3280 New Zealand; about 7150 were sold. It was a good sale with sustained Home and Continental competition. Opening rates were fully maintained and finer growths occasionally in sellers’ favour. New Zealand sales: Greasy Merinos, Dumpree, top lljd, average 10£d.
