THE OATH BILL
SENATE OPPOSITION. REFUSES TO CONSIDER MEASURE (Received 16, 1.20 p.m.) Dublin, March 15. The Senate declined bv 24 votes to 16 to pass the second reading of the Oath Bill, which it refused to consider pending negotiations between the Executive and the British Government with a view to an amicable settlement. Mr de Valera opposed Anglo-Irish negotiations. The constitution provides for the legalisation of the Bill early m April despite the Senate opposition.
