BRILLIANT LINDRUM
CONTEST WITH DAVIS. (Received 13, 10.10 a.m.) • London, Mar. 11. In the billiards match Davis scored 24,758 points, and Lindrum 24,007, including a break of 881. The papers emphasise that though Lindrum was beaten in every game bis superiority is unquestionable. The baulk-line handicap alone prevented him from overcoming the huge starts. Newman and MeConaehy will begin a deciding match for the Gold Cup on March 13.
