The Taradale Town Hall was the scene of an enjoyable concert on Thursday in aid of the Methodist Church, when, under the direction of Mrs P. G. Lewis, of Napier, a clever band of young children entertained a large audience with a delightful programme. The young artists acquitted themselves exceedingly well and great credit is due to their mentor During the evening tho Rev. E. T. Olds expressed high praise for the entertainment and especially Mr Lewis (who acted as manager) and thanked Mrs Lewis for organising and staging such a splendid performance The Town Board is taking drastic steps to stamp out the form of larrikmism indulged in by some of the hoodlums of the district. The War Memorial Ims been the happy hunting ground for these people, who seem to delight in destroying anything that is of a public nature. It is to be hoped that an cwimple will be mailt’ of the pffenderc.
